Joplin Tornado Info Founders: Webinar Wed 20-Jun-12 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EDT

www.firestorm.com     JOPLIN TORNADO INFO was created less than two hours after an EF-5 tornado hit Joplin on May 22, 2011. Originally created as a Facebook page, the group quickly began utilizing other social networks and new technologies to aid in the relief effort. JTI and its affiliates are staffed entirely by volunteers and accept no donations. In the process of managing these sites, they agreed that the guidelines used with JTI needed to be written down and shared with others.  

For Joplin High School, it was a senior year none of them could have predicted, but the 2012 Joplin High School graduates endured and loved and made it through the toughest year of their young lives. Two high school students and one teacher died in the Joplin tornado. A total of 161 people were killed when the EF-5 tornado struck on May 22, 2011.
