Crisis Communication: Reacting to a Fast Unfolding Crisis with Grant Rampy

www.firestorm.com Wednesday 27-Jun-12 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EDT   Crisis Communication: Reacting to a Fast Unfolding Crisis with Transparency: with Grant Rampy, nationally recognized broadcast journalist. Sponsored by Firestorm Wednesday 27-Jun-12 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EDT

When a crisis is unfolding, the media has a huge role in telling the stories of crises. Transparency from those involved in crises is a must.  You need to tell your story; if you don’t someone is going to make one up and tell it for you. When faced with a crisis situation in your business, there is a choice to be made: we can get all the facts out – the good, the bad and the ugly – and we can do so in a hurry, or we can try to shade the truth, hide the facts, and make the way toward finding them as murky as possible. We choose the former. Grant Rampy - Mr. Rampy is a Firestorm Expert Council Member and Director of Public Relations for Abilene Christian University.

Prior to his current role, and during his 10 years as a correspondent for Tribune Broadcasting, he covered the White House, Pentagon and Capitol Hill – interviewing US Presidents and other Heads of State -providing nightly on-air reports for the nation's Top 20 television markets.

Mr. Rampy was also a Chicago-based national correspondent for Fox News Channel from 1997 to 1999.
