NYT: For Obama and Romney, Nonstop Fund-Raising

President Obama is the first president in history to not accept public financing for his reelection campaign, instead opting to rely solely on private fundraising. He recently dropped his commitment to not raise funds through Super PACs, following pressure from Republican Mitt Romney, who has already raised millions through his own PACs. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
