@Jake, "what's next" is a great question. First, the latest Higgs findings are strong evidence that the particle has been found, but the findings are not definitive yet; it could be some other, unexpected particle, so more research is necessary. Second, discovery of the Higgs would help to flesh out the particle zoo of the Standard Model, but this model doesn't currently include Dark Matter / Dark Energy; figuring out what Dark matter is will be the focus of at least the next decade of research (possibly more than that) along with continuing research into the direct observation of gravitational radiation. Seems like I should make boards on these topics as well... :)

Dark matter is electromagnetic currents and Dark Energy is about as real as the Higgs Boson.
