In addition, Remind101 and Nearpod are incredible apps. Remind101 allows you to text your students about assignments, tests, etc., without them having the capability of texting you back. Nearpod allows you to control your students' iPads during a presentation, embedding images, videos, drawings, assessments, and much more.

I highly recommend Schoology. It far surpasses Edmodo in functionality, especially as it pertains to creating and administering tests.

iClassmate. It is integrated with the school's timetabling system so exams, due dates, timetables etc are automatically populated for students. It also has a classroom finder and much more. http://www.iclassmate.com.au

love this board. because of it I now utilize edmodo and classdojo. I couldn't be happier with the results. I would also throw google docs for education on this list. combing the three works great.

Evernote - well for almost anything. I'm going to start using it for student portfolios. I use mini whiteboards for each student or groups and will photo with iPad and store in Evernote. I try to organize almost everything in Evernote.

Doceri and Splashtop Whiteboard for annotating and controlling desktop apps remotely. I use it for apps that only run on desktop that I want to use as part of lecture or presentation while walking around the room.
