Pobres y desprotegidos, expuestos a todo tipo de abuso como estilo normal de vida. Hijos, padres y abuelos de nadie, que no pueden asumir una responsabilidad porque solo han aprendido a sobrevivir al hambre, al frío y al maltrato. Grupo que cada año será mas grande e indiferente ¡Mundo de zombies! ¿Cómo atenderlos? ¿Cómo transformar un grupo de parásitos en ciudadanos responsables? Se requiere más allá de comida, abrigo y un abrazo voluntario.

Poverty and hunger are just two of many social ills that go unnoticed by the busy masses. Visibility is part of the issue, as is information. Your board covers both well.

I think getting serious about poverty as a nation would mitigate so many of the (even more expensive!) problems we face later in a person's life. A comprehensive approach combined with more investment in early childhood education would literally change the world, if it happened here.

It's hard to believe so many Americans are starving daily. How could this happen in the Land of Plenty? This board looks at the politics involved with fighting hunger and poverty.
