The Ultimate PB&J

Category: Food & Drinks | 8449 views | Created: 12/10/12
Peanut butter and jelly is one of the most basic, well-loved, common sandwiches in America, a quintessential comfort food and childhood memory. It can also be a great place for culinary creativity, as demonstrated here.

You should check out PBJ's, one of the most beloved food carts in Portland, Oregon. They have amazing combinations. My favorite is peanut butter, jelly, bacon and jalapeno peppers. Check out the menu on their website: http://pbjsgrilled.com/

I do not like peanut butter, but I can't look away from these boards...transforming the blah to the extraordinaire is a real gift for you, Lauren:) I'm just going to swap out the peanut butter for some other nut, and then we're in business!

Wow, I had NO IDEA there were so many variations out there. Americans sure love their PB&J!

I have to say that only the waffle one sounded good to me as a variation (and the duck one, but that one doesn't really count). If I had to choose one for myself, though, I'd just be picking #20. Give me the real thing, but with non-sucky non-hyperprocessed ingredients. And less sugar.

Wait until I tell my son about some of these PB&J recipes. I'm thinking he's going to request #7...just a hunch!

I had no idea that PB&J cuisine had been elevated to high art. I'm going to make every single one of these -- I love PB&J!

I vote that you need to leave a comment with your review after trying each one. I'm so curious!
