There seems to be multiple apps for almost every subject, which is great. My question is how do you choose which is the best one? Do teachers spend time looking at reviews or asking other teachers for recommendations?

Personally, I read app reviews and ask colleagues for recommendations. My students are also great at recommending apps they have come across. I've also found that my students like to be given a choice of similar apps. For example, some students love using GoodReader, others don't and instead prefer to use iAnnotate.

We are having our students in grades 6-8 use Calendar and Reminders app. Working quite well for them.

Would the Calendar and Reminder Apps work? They sync to the cloud and offer reminders.

Quite a few of my students are using the Reminders App as they find it really easy to use.

Can anyone recommend a planner app for the iPad? One to help students keep up with due dates and such?
