Have you seen research on the success (or failures) of flipping the classroom? What about at different grade levels? I'd like to see data on this topic.

Take a look at both Khan Academy and the response to his videos and the new TEDEd project. The goal of TEDEd is to have the world help discover other Khan-types to support their efforts by teaming them with world lass animators.

Classroom lectures by the average teacher are boring and always have been. By "flipping the classroom" and using interactive videos of really good teachers coupled with more experiential learning in the classroom it becomes a very potent combination.
